Tania Holt is a Partner at McKinsey London and leads McKinsey’s Healthcare work across Africa. She worked at McKinsey Johannesburg office between 2010 and 2017 where she pursued her passion for the continent and helped to expand McKinsey's activities in health care across Africa. Motivated by a personal passion for extending access to affordable and high-quality healthcare services and products, she advises governments, development agencies, philanthropists, and private sector entities on topics of public health and safety, control of endemic diseases, pharma supply chains, and operational efficiencies. She works at the intersection between private companies, governments and social stakeholders across the whole continent, and has on-the-ground experience across over 20 countries to date.
Tania is passionate about diversity in organizations–and is a co-author of McKinsey’s highly acclaimed “Women Matter Africa” report that shows that companies with a greater share of women on their boards of directors and executive committees tend to perform better financially.

Shafi Ahmed is a multi-award winning surgeon, teacher, futurist, innovator and entrepreneur who has delivered over 250 keynotes in 30 countries. Shafi was named the top British Asian star in UK Tech industry in 2017 and was awarded The Future NHS award by the Members of Parliament in 2018. He is a cancer surgeon at The Royal London and St Bartholomew’s Hospitals and has been awarded the accolade of the most watched surgeon in human history. He is a 3x TEDx speaker and is a member of the faculty at Singularity University.
His mission is to merge the world of medicine, global education, and virtual and augmented reality to democratize and scale surgical education to make it affordable and accessible to everyone using the power of connectivity to allow equitable surgical care. He co-founded Medical Realties who have just released the worlds first VR Interactive Surgical Training Module. He is a non-executive director of Medic Bleep, a communications platform for healthcare professionals, GPDQ an online medical platform. He is an advisor for governments and major blue-chip companies working in Pharma, Digital Health, Artificial intelligence, Robotics and Blockchain. He has recently been appointed as CEO of SAMD University Hospital in Bolivia, the first Digital hospital in South America.
PROF SHAFI AHMED
Sanjay Kinra is a Professor in Clinical Epidemiology and a consultant Paediatrics at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He works mainly in India (Public Health Foundation of India) and the UK, dividing his time between the two. He is the Director of the Andhra Pradesh Children and Parents Study, which is a large community-based household cohort study in rural India that seeks to understand the biological and societal determinants of chronic diseases in urbanizing India and develop innovative solutions to address them. He is also a Member of the Drugs and Technologies Appraisals Committee of NICE (UK's National Institute for Health and Care Excellence), the Scientific Director of the PHFI (Public Health Foundation of India) UK Universities Consortium Program, and the Director of the Research Degree Programs for LSHTM's Department of Non-Communicable Disease Epidemiology.
His research focuses on finding innovative low-cost and sustainable solutions to help individuals and communities to prevent and/or better manage nutrition and lifestyle related diseases such as obesity, diabetes and heart disease. He is particularly interested in understanding the potential of mobile/information technology and web 2.0 in delivery of such interventions.
